Tata Power’s CGPL has announced commercial operations of all five 800 MW sized units of Mundra UMPP. Unit 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 were commissioned in March ’12, July ’12, Dec. ’12, Jan. ’13 and March ‘13 respectively.

Mundra UMPP is the first of the UMPPs that heralds the entry of 800 MW supercritical boiler technology in India, which is environment friendly and efficient. This technology and the choice of unit sizes helps save fuel for the project and cut down Green House Gas (GHG) emissions up to 15% as compared to sub-critical coal-fired power stations.

This project meets @ 2% of India’s power need.

Requirement /Situation:-

Tata Power started a green field project at Remote location and being a Giga size of the plant, they were in need of localize power which is Mobile and Modular in nature and support construction activities with safety and reliability.

Gujarat Powerfield offered them Mobile, Modular Rental DG Sets of various rating along with required ancillaries to match their requirement along with Operation.

Solution:-

Gujarat Powerfield execute this project supplying various rating DG Sets and ensure construction activities continue without any stoppage. Gujarat Powerfield successfully manage all the difficulties during execution which normally come across on construction site with heavy construction, high level movement of heavy vehicle, etc.

Suzuki Motor Gujarat Private Limited (SMGPL) is an automotive manufacturing plant owned by Suzuki Motor Corporation. Located in Ahmedabad District, it is the first and the only Suzuki automobile manufacturing plant wholly owned directly by Suzuki as a foreign company, as the other plants are owned by Maruti Suzuki. The plant supplies vehicles to Maruti Suzuki in the domestic market and to overseas markets. The plant was opened on 1 February 2017 and has the total annual capacity of 750,000 units. The plant has helped Suzuki achieve exports of 2 million units from India.

Requirement /Situation:-

Suzuki Motors had very aggressive plan to commission the plant in the shortest period and to make their plan successful, they decided to commission and take trial once they ready with certain line of equipment. Temporary power through Rental DG Sets suites their requirement due the flexibility for scalability. They want Rental Power solution provider who can offer them suitable solution and match their stringent criteria. Situation:-

Vibrant Gujarat Summit started by Gujarat Government in year 2003 with the aim to boost industrial growth and become preferred investment destination. This event organized every second year and Gujarat Govt, organizes a global trade fair called Vibrant Gujarat summit which includes a 5 days exhibition and 3 days summit.

Being prestigious initiative of government, power supply has most crucial role and organizer was looking for reliable temporary power rental supplier who can manage total power requirement right from site construction stage to demobilisation on turn key basis.
